" Europcar was the vehicle provider. The pick-up process had one glitch; they have asked for a 250 OMR security deposit while autoeurope voucher says 50 OMR. Upon inspecting the voucher they have accepted 50 OMR. The vehicle was of the proper class but it has two minor issues: the tires were not inflated correctly and there was not sufficient water for the wipers. The first issue was corrected at the first gas station while the second one not. The drop-off was early in the morning with only returning the key to the key box. Hopefully there will be no unpleasant surprises from Europcar. "

" I had to cancel my travel plans to go to the desert and lost one day out of four days of my vacation time. I request at least for a refund for the difference. Was very bad experience with Europecar. They don't even have Land Cruiser in their fleet as they are advertising and using the brand name of Land Cruiser in their advertisement. "
" I rented most expensive category Luxury SUV class and made a special request for a Toyota Land Cruiser. However, they told me that they don't even have that car in their fleet. They could provide an equivalent one however they gave me a Kia Sportage which is a much lower category car and much cheaper. They also charged me for 500 OMR as deposit for the highest category. Next day they promised that they will bring a Chevrolet Tahoe which is equivalent to Land Cruiser. I waited all day at my hotel and had to finally go back to the airport to get the car that I hired. They again gave me a lower category car which is Ford Montero and they didn't refund my money and made me drive this car for the rest of my rental period. I had to cancel my hotel reservations where I planned to go but had no suitable car so I couldn't go. At this point I would like to get a refund for the difference between the category that I paid for and what I actually got. "

" The car hire itself worked very well at the end, but contacting the desk at the Muscat airport to verify if my extra equipment (child & booster seats) was to be available for our hire was impossible as no one answered the telephone line provided in my voucher even though I rang it probably 50 times. Fortunately, at the time of pi9ck up the seats were available and we could travel safely, but Europcar should ensure that their employees pick-up phones ringing at their desks so their clients can contact them efficiently on the phone numbers provided. "
