At the drop-off a lady inspected thoroughly the car and said everything was all right with it except that another colleague will check later the full tank and the amount of km spent. Luckily I made a photo of the board displays. I was very surprised next day after I got home to receive a mail with an invoice attached from Europcar CPH in which they stated that I overran the km included in the rent with 100 km for which I was charged from the credit card. I got furious as in reality I brought back the car with more than 8o km unspent from the limit included. I immediately called their office and told them the reality and that I had a proofing photo. After few moments of checking they mumbled that was an error from another client and that they will refund me, which happened in few days. This incident made me recall another situation I had last summer after drop-off with Alamo CPH when they charged me later 100 Eur for a cut they claimed they found in the plastic inside the trunk. As I picked-up the car during the night I didn't observe anything and had no proof photo. Despite the fact I told them that I had just a medium size suitcase in that SUV all the time, I had to pay. These two incidents made me think that charging the clients supportable extra sums of money at the end of their rent is a common practice with all the rent-a-car offices in Copenhagen Airport. "

" Too often I end up in a situation where the rental company offers a smaller car than what is rented. The employee of Europcar told me, that if I rented directly from them, then this would not happen. So it seems that because I rented through you, I get worse service and even a smaller car. "
" I rented a car which should be an Opel Astra or Ford Focus size and they gave me a Renault Clio stationcar. A Renault Clio is a significantly smaller car, but they stated that it had the same size trunk and thus were comparable to a Ford Focus. I did not have any use for the trunk, but instead needed cabin space for 4 people. This is really unacceptable as the Renault Clio is much smaller in the cabin than a Ford Focus or similar. Secondly the car was in a bad condition. Not very clean and with many scratches and dents. It made it difficult for me to recognise which scratches and dents they had registered as they were basically all over the car. Lastly when leaving after picking up the car, the warning light for tire pressure were on. I went back to inform, but they had closed the office in the meantime (I picked up the car at 22.30). Instead I had to go to a gas station to adjust the tire pressure. Here I discovered that all 4 tires had significant less pressure than what they should. E.g. the front right tire had only one bar pressure compared to the 2,2 bar it should have had. Driving a car with tire pressure this low is straight up dangerous as the tire has a big change of failure. "

I have regularly used Autoeurope over the years, but this time there was a mistake made which nearly cost me my rental. I clearly specified my home address and country as Denmark on the request, but when I picked up the car I was told that it was a car only for non Danish residents, and I would have to pay a very large surcharge to change it. Luckily I was accompanied by a non Danish person on this occasion, and Budget agreed to change the rental agreement to their name. This could have been a very expensive mistake by Autoeurope and I am not happy about it. "

" Hertz had to cancel my booking because Auto Booking failed to catch that a Danish resident booking with a Danish address and Danish phone number had to book the car under Danish rules. Then when I asked for a refund or a credit on my Auto Europe account, instead of doing the right thing, Customer service is instead working very hard to do neither, forcing me to pay for this car twice. Once to Auto Europe who is keeping my money that they are not entitled to, and once to Hertz who had to rebook in order to be in compliance with Danish Law. If I had known that Auto Europe was disinterested in acting in an honest, fair, and ethical way and instead would work hard to cheat me out of money, I would never have booked with Auto Europe in the first place. That Auto Europe won't even issue a credit to my account so I can use it against a future rental in a different country says everything. Not only will I not book with you again as a result, but I will tell everyone I know, every reviewing platform I can find, how Auto Europe couldn't be bothered to do the right thing and instead decided to steal 85 Euro. I would say 'shame on you' but apparently Auto Europe has no shame. "

" The process of car pick up at the Hertz rental car desk at Copenhagen airport was smooth until the moment we realized to provided car won't be fit for 3 adults and 2 kids in child-seats. The chosen car category was Ford Mondeo which per our experience perfectly fits. We were offered Nissan Qashqai that won't be right fit. We got another option for little more extra money, car Opeal Zafira which was older (and also not that clean) but it fitted size-wise. There was no other car available that we could get so we took it. Big trouble came when we ended up with flat tire during our trip to Sweden (info on travel abroad to Sweden was given during the car booking), 6 July afternoon. We called Saturday afternoon the breakdown emergency line listed on the rental contract. It was 3*30 pm local time. 15mins on line. We highlighted the fact we had two small kids with us and asked for quick solution. The service of company Falck was in Denmark, they asked us for details and asked to provide a location of our car via email. They couldn't locate us via GPS. We did provide all via email(change of tire request, size of tire, location of ours). They also answered they can just arrange the car to be towed and they don't provide replacement of car and advised we shall call Hertz as the rental car provider. I called to Hertz in Denmark, 4pm. We were told Falck as a service company is paid for this kind of situation to solve it purely on their end and we need to talk to Falck for solution. We wrote to Falck back, that they need to take care and got an answer they will locate some service assistance but they are not sure how they will help us. We exchanged several emails where we again stated the damage, that we need just tire repair and no other damage happened and we were waiting for response. They confirmed 4*30pm they hand over the case to Swedish Falck and they should search for service assistance help for us. 5*15pm I got sms message the assistance will reach us around 6*15pm. 6*19pm I got a call from danish Falck, if we were still on same place that they were asked to review again. We were still there, 3 hours waiting already. We again said we had two small kids on board, that we need them to be quicker. 6*38pm I got another call from swedish Falck, promising us a help in another hour, that there is some delay. Ok, we accepted with repeated note we had 2 small children with us and appreciate quicker reaction. They promised to get back with update, never happened. I called back to swedish Falck contact number two times, 30mins later and another 30mins later, they always promised to check, but nothing happened. At around 8*30pm the big tow truck arrived. When the driver of tow truck saw our small damage he was quite surprised why the service line called for his help. He called there back, they discussed some options. He offered us to arrange through swedish Falck a help of tire repair service (local one), in case we pay directly, the situation can be solved. We agreed because there was no other solution, waiting for any action or payment agreement of Hertz or Falck to speak to Hertz after already 5 hours of no action would be killing. The local service guy for tire repair arrived based on call from tow truck driver around 9pm and within 40mins he did his job very well and quick. That means after 6,5 hours of waiting for a simple change of tire, with 2 small kids on board!! I would expect from such big company as Hertz, more over in such developed countries like Denmark and Sweden, to have customer support - even if contracted - on very different level! If the breakdown service would not behave as useless call center and instead of calling who knows where they could do their job properly and call regular contracted service guy who can repair tires, we would be done in 2-3 hours. That I believe is a maximum appropriate and tolerable for small incident. "

" We appreciate the competitive prices, less so seemingly invalid extra charge for outside normal office hours already at 8 PM. It also seems Auto Europe might improve precision of the information on the de facto position/conditions with the local liason/partner and how to get to them from the airport building and encourage some local improvements, f.ex. with information signs inside the arrival hall and improving safety relative to the walk/transfer to the rental office and pick up location. " Our voucher said the car rental company was inside the airport (which we appreciated, having earlier had bad experiences having to wait for transfer to more distant office locations). However, no sign inside the terminal indicated where we could find our rental, so we had to ask and rely upon a friendly competitor to guide us. It turned out we had to walk with our relatively heavy luggage some 2-300 meters on a highly trafficated, badly lit road with no sidewalk to the rental office. In our case it was not too bad though, taking into consideration that the weather was fair. But imagine if the customer had poor language skills, had challenges walking, or the weather had been less favourable. The local car rental company was not Flizzr, but apparently a liason, Greentransport or something to that effect (although we failed to realize what was particularly green about this rental company or it's services). Upon arrival, we were charged 24 Euro extra because we arrived around 9:30m, which was after normal office hours (after 8 PM). When we dropped off the car, also around 8 PM, we were graciously not charged extra, but there were too many customers being in a rush for the single employee to be able to service them in an adequate and satisfying pace, also indicating 8 PM is not at all a relevant limit to "normal" office hours. Such a limit must reflect the time when most if not all normal activity relative to in- and outbound flights are duly serviced (the employee however did her best to select and service those with the most urgent need first). The rental vehicle had driven about 69.500 km (acceptable, albeit a bit high relative to normal European standard) and had lots of minor outside scratches, but was seemingly in a fair condition and nice and clean, so no complaints on the vehicle. The engine power was not impressive, although satisfying, and the ballbearings of the front wheels could be sensed (only just though) to soon being in need of changing, but nothing annoying or urgent as such. All in all, we had chosen the second cheapest rental option on our hands, so a brand new rental car was not to be expected, but the partly misleading information about the position of the rental office, the insecure and poorly lit walkway to the office and the charging of payment for "outside normal office hours service" at relative early hours (from 8 PM) left room for considerable improvement. "

In fact after being very disapointed in your service - and spending a lot of money and energy trying to get a car there - YOU CHARGED MY CREDITE CARD for anout 130 euro - BUT IT Wasnt my fault - i never had a possibility to get there before 23h and my booking was confrimed by YOU WRONGLY from 23.00h. " The drop off office was closed and a sign directed us to the back of the office in the carpark for key return. The problem was that there is a key drop at the back of the outside yard office with a big Hertz sign above it, we dropped the keys in a hurry only to notice a small sign next to it saying no Hertz keys here. Being told we are responsible for costs until the keys are "found" is also unappreciated, a proper facility should be provided. "

" It was not clearly explained where the car is parking to pick it up. The map received was misleading. I was not the only customer who did not find the car in P4, others were also just walking around looking for the car. Finally, someone not a Hertz employee helped us to find it. It was not easy to drive out from the parking because no parking card was in the car and the parking helpdesk requested it, but finally they let us to drive out without the card. There was no explanation or guidance received about this in advance. " When I contacted the customer service team to inform them of my problem they were quite unapologetic and it was my problem apparently so was informed that they would be keeping my money despite not providing me with any service whatsoever and requiring that I have to make other arrangements for my journey that weekend. Luckily for me, the rental was only one day, so I only lost out on a small amount of money. But if this is the way you treat people then I will be making sure to recommend people not to use your service in the future. "

You pride yourself on customer service but due to your lack of professionalism I had to pay an amount 4 times the original amount I had booked. After I made the booking last Friday, I made sure to call your customer service hotline to ensure that the rates quoted were valid for residents in Denmark which your customer service officer promptly reassured me that they were. When I showed up to collect the car on Saturday, Budget informed me that they were only valid for non residents in Denmark. Can you explain to me how this basic mistake is possible? I called back again earlier this week on Monday to voice my complaint and all your customer service officer could tell me was that you have no record of my call with your customer service officer last Friday! Is this the kind of service that you provide? " The costumer service provided by Auto Europe was simply the worst I have ever experienced. We were never handed the booked car because of a simple misunderstanding in the booking. However we still paid the full price. Where other services usually are willing to help their costumers, Auto Europe were not willing to extend any help towards us. We even had Europe Car on the phone with AutoEurope to outline how the situation easily could be solved, but AutoEurope refused to show any flexibility. Furthermore, our call to AutoEurope was hung up twice by the rude staff without offering any concrete answers to our questions. In my experience of booking I have never encountered a service as rude and bureaucratic as this one. I will discourage anyone to rent their car through AutoEurope again. "
