How to get to and from Rome Tiburtina Train Station

In the main station square, namely the Piazza Ipogea, there is also an arrivals and departures terminal called Autostazione Tibus where a number of medium and long-distance bus routes begin and end to destinations across Italy, as well as neighbouring countries such as France and Switzerland. From Rome Tiburtina Train Station you can get to Milan Centrale Train Station in around three hours, to Florence (in an hour and a half) and to Naples in just over an hour. Parking tips

Rome has numerous parking options available, some of which are even free. Street parking in Rome is colour-coded and the lines on the pavement indicate whether or not parking is permitted, with white lines indicating free parking (many of these areas are found near hospitals and residential areas), while some white parking zones are also located within limited traffic zones (ZTL). Be very wary of ZTLs because they are no-go areas for anyone who doesn't have special authorisation to drive on these roads, and if you do a hefty fine can be expected!. Parking in white zones is generally limited to three hours with exceptions for residents. Yellow parking zones are reserved for drivers with disabilities (provided they have the appropriate permit), while pink parking zones are reserved for pregnant women and parents driving with a new-born baby in the vehicle.
