    Terminal

Paris Orly Airport only consisted of two main terminal buildings up until March 2019, namely the West Terminal (used mainly for short-haul flights) and the South Terminal, which was mostly used for longer-haul international flights. Inaugurated in April 2019, Terminal 3 is a junction building between Terminals 1, 2 and 4, while Terminal 4 (formerly known as the South Terminal) is an innovative steel-and-glass building spread across six floors. Terminals 1 and 2 are divided into two floors, with the ground floor dedicated to arrivals, baggage collection and several shops. The upper floor is the departures area with a few more shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Despite being a junction building between the terminals, Terminal 3 is where you'll find the largest portion of Duty Free shops, as well as a number restaurants and business lounges. Made up of six floors, mostly dedicated to services, offices and catering, it is on Level 0 and Level 1 of Terminal 4 that you'll find the boarding and disembarking areas, as well as more shops and a number of check-in desks. The terminals are linked by the Orlyval free-of-charge shuttles.

    Airport Facilities

As the city's second largest airport after Paris CDG, passengers passing through this modern air transportation hub can relax and enjoy all the comfort and amenities you'd expect in a major international airport. As well as having several good restaurants in every terminal, Paris Orly also offers a very large Duty Free shop selling a wide range of souvenirs and various products associated with French culture. Few places can boast fine cuisine like Paris, and its airports are no exception. Food and beverages are available throughout each terminal from very early morning to late in the evening both before and after security. Other services related to the well-being of travellers include the sumptuous lounge areas, multimedia sections and PlayStation zones, plus the airport is equipped with free unlimited Wi-Fi throughout all the terminals. The airport also has a changing room area, a number of ATMs, currency exchange counters, medical services, smoking areas, postal services, prayer rooms and water bottle-filling stations.

How to get to and from Paris Orly Airport

With the airport located just 14 kilometres south of the city centre, travellers opting to pick up their car rental at Paris Orly Airport will waste no time getting to and from Paris and its main tourist sights, such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Nôtre Dame, to name just a few. For those travelling by car, the airport has direct access to the A106 motorway, which connects to the A6 towards the city. Passengers can also choose to use the various forms of public transport available, such as the RER B train at Antony, the tram between the airport and Louis Aragon station, or line 7 of the metro. If you prefer to travel by bus, Orlybus services run directly to Place Denfert-Rochereau, Le Bus to Place Charles de Gaulle, the VEA with direct journeys to Disneyland Paris and the popular Albatran which connects with the railway stations in the centre of Paris. Taxis can be another option and several cabs are always available at the taxi ranks outside the building, but at a much higher cost than the city's efficient public transport system.

    Parking Tips

Due to the series of renovation and restructuring programmes at Paris Orly Airport over the years, multiple parking facilities are now available at the various terminals for both short-term and long-term parking. The most popular options include P2 and P3 (both indoor) and P-Eco 2 (outdoor), as well as P8, a large outdoor car park located a 15-minute walk from the main terminals. Once in Paris, drivers can choose to park on the streets or use the many underground car parks, both quite cstly nowadays. Street parking is possible from Monday to Friday (9am to 7pm) and, generally speaking, the closer you are to the city, the higher the cost. Parking meters no longer accept coins as a rule, so you'll have to use Paris Carte or a credit card to pay. Parking is limited to two hours and it is strictly forbidden to park in no-parking, drop-off or disabled parking areas. Drivers usually find that it is much easier to find a space in the city's numerous underground car parks (try the Quai Branly-Eiffel Tower car park underneath the museum or Lagrange-Maubert Notre-Dame car park which is close to the Latin Quarter) which are open 24 hours a day. There is also the possibility of making a reservation in advance to ensure you find a parking space.
