First opened in 1937 for military purposes, Bergamo Airport became a civil airport in 1971 before growing into a major international airport in the 1990s. Terminal

Well designed with the passenger in mind, Bergamo Airport has one large terminal building with dozens of check-in desks and boarding gates. It is divided into two main zones comprising Zone A with gates A1-A15 and Zone B where gates B1-B5 are located.
