" When we picked up the car at Melbourne airport, they incorrectly informed us that the car was running on diesel instead of unleaded 91. On the way back, we tried to put in diesel according to the company's instructions, which is also proven by the cameras in the area of airport offices and by 2 witnesses who picked up the vehicle and that they didn't even mention (cycle) the type of fuel like all rental companies do! " The airport drop off is unmanned and the key has to be dropped into a box. I am used to this procedure at small stations or after hours. Not 3.50pm on a Saturday at an international airport. (Actually I had yo drop at the domestic terminal as the international is closed). What is worse: I have just received an email from Hertz Australia claiming I've never returned the car! I have dropped the car at 3.50pm on 22.10.2022 on lot 164. I flew out to Singapore with my family 2.5h later. Thank god I took pictures. I will keep Auto Europe informed about the outcome of this very unpleasant experience. "

" Yes, however the communication leading up to the rental was not accurate. I was told to pick up the car before 1pm, when I wanted it at 5.30pm. Therefore I paid for another day rental when it was unneccessary as the station was open later that day. I only found out they were still open once I had gone there and had no other option but to pay for another day's rental. "

It had been washed, but the wheels and interior were dirty. The car still had half a covid seal on the drivers door. Because I had the car for 35 days I decided to clean it myself. "

" Perfect car for 5 people with luggage. Condition of the car was "ok", unfortunately a lot of scratches and the steering was heavy so either the geometry of the wheels was not ok or something else. In general nothing dramatically as you could easily drive with it, but it was just a little annoying. No big deal. I will definitely use autoeurope for my next trip to compare the prices. "

" I didn't realise Eastcoast does not have a counter at the airport. It's office actually located in the city. It took us quite a long time to finally pick up the car. It will be better if this is mentioned in the booking as we didn't know this arrangement upfront. "

Took us an extra hour and hour to pick up the car because we have to wait for the Eastcoast van to pick us up from airport, wait for all the other renters are there, 15 minutes drive to the city, queue at the counter because all 10 people arrived at their counter at the same time, wait for the paperwork done. You need to go 500m with AUD 4 (not refundable) to collect a trolley, if you have a lot of luggage. Luckily Europcar found us a trolley which had been left behind . "
